Privacy
1. Scope
This policy covers gianmetry.com, its subdomains (including film.gianmetry.com and labs.gianmetry.com), and the mobile apps published by Gianmarco Pastore under the Gianmetry / Gianmetry Labs name (together, the "Services"). Gianmarco Pastore is the controller of personal information processed through the Services.
Some apps have their own privacy policy, linked from their App Store page (for example, Daily Protein Widget, which collects no data). For those apps, their own policy applies instead of this one.
2. Information we collect
The apps do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Device and usage data: device model, operating system, app version, language, crash reports and basic in-app interactions, used to keep the apps working and fix bugs.
- Advertising identifiers: the Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA (only if you allow tracking on iOS), along with IP address and approximate location derived from it, collected by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads.
- Consent choices: your privacy choices are stored on your device so the app can respect them.
- Birth year: some apps ask for your birth year once, so they can show age-appropriate ads. It is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. Only the resulting age category (child, teen or adult) is passed to Google AdMob with ad requests.
- Game Center: apps with leaderboards use Apple Game Center. Your scores and Game Center nickname are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Graph Blaster also attaches a country flag to each score, taken from your device's Region setting (not GPS).
- Purchases: in-app purchases such as "Remove Ads" are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details; the app only checks with Apple whether you own the purchase.
- Things you send us: if you email us, we keep the message and your address to reply.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not build profiles of our own from your data.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Free apps may show ads provided by Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure performance and prevent fraud. Where you have consented (or where the law allows without consent), ads may be personalized to your interests; otherwise you will see non-personalized ads based on context and coarse location.
Learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also manage ad personalization in your device settings (Android: Settings › Google › Ads; iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking).
Each app includes a Privacy settings option that reopens the consent message, so you can change or withdraw your choices at any time.
4. Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
We use Google's certified consent management platform to ask for your consent before personal data is used for personalized advertising, as required by the GDPR, UK GDPR and the ePrivacy rules. Our legal bases are:
- Consent: personalized ads, and storing or accessing information on your device for advertising.
- Legitimate interests: app security, crash reporting, fraud prevention and non-personalized ad delivery.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Google may process data outside your country; it relies on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
5. US state privacy rights
Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others) have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access, correct and delete it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. Disclosing identifiers to advertising partners through AdMob may count as "sharing" under these laws.
To opt out, open the app's Privacy settings and choose "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information", or email us. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals where technically supported. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent, and if we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our response.
Categories collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (advertising ID, IP address), internet or app activity, and approximate geolocation, disclosed to Google for advertising and analytics.
6. Children
Some of our apps, such as Graph Blaster, are made for a general audience that includes students as young as middle school. Before showing any ads, these apps ask for your birth year with a neutral age screen. For players under 13:
- ads are requested with Google's child-directed treatment, so they are never personalized and not used to build interest profiles;
- the app does not ask for permission to track (no Apple tracking prompt), so the IDFA is never collected;
- ad content is limited to ratings suitable for younger audiences, and we do not collect a child's name, email or other contact information.
Players aged 13 to 17 get teen ad treatment, and all ad content in our apps is capped at a "Teen" rating. In the EEA/UK, players under 16 are treated as below the age of digital consent. A parent or guardian who believes their child has shared personal information with us can contact us and we will delete it. Purchases can be limited with Apple's Screen Time and Ask to Buy.
7. Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Advertising data held by Google is subject to Google's retention policies. Data is transmitted using encryption, though no method of transmission is perfectly secure.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the Services change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
